ICC Syria Annual Ordinary General Assembly Meeting 2025

The Annual Ordinary General Assembly of the International Chamber of Commerce Syria was held in the presence of the members of the Board of Directors and the General Assembly, in accordance with the legal quorum stipulated in the ICC Syria Statutes.

The General Assembly proceedings were opened under the chairmanship of the President of the Board of Directors, who delivered a welcoming address to attendees and spoke about ICC Syria achievements. During his speech, the chair highlighted that the ICC Syria Chamber was awarded the ICC-NC Star 2024 Award, being one of only 10 chambers honoured out of 170 national committees worldwide, in recognition of its role in supporting the Syrian private sector over recent years and its continued commitment to representing the interests of the private sector at both regional and international levels.

The agenda and the annual report of the ICC Syria for the year 2024 were discussed, during which the Chamber’s activities at the local and international levels were presented, in addition to the activities of the TIR and the activities of the Confederation of Mediterranean Enterprises (BUSINESSMED).

This was followed by a speech by the Vice President of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Digitalization Committee of ICC Syria, addressing the ICC Digital Standards Initiative and the creation of a globally harmonized digital trade environment.

The Vice President of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Insurance Committee of ICC Syria also delivered a speech outlining the achievements of the Insurance Committee.

The General Assembly concluded its proceedings by approving the 2024 budget by the members of the General Assembly.
