To assess the human rights and humanitarian impact of unilateral coercive measures (unilateral sanctions) on Syria, especially in the fields of health supporting products and equipment as well as in areas of trade, business development and employment.
ICC Syria Secretary General Mr. Khalil Sara, Board Member Mr. Karam Bechara and Ms. Mouna Kiwan, have received United Nations Special Rapporteur on unilateral coercive measures, Prof. Alena Douhan at ICC Syria premises in Damascus on 6 November 2022.
The Syria country visit report by the Special Rapporteur on unilateral coercive measures & human rights, Alena Douhan, has been published on 3rd of July 2023 and can be accessed at:

It will be presented along with the SR’s thematic report on the right to health, during the 54th session of the Human Rights Council, at Geneva, on 14 and 15 September 2023.
